Remember all profits go towards keeping refugees cycling!

Originally hailing from Patagonia, Carlos is our upcycling king. Growing up, his nearest bike shop was 50km away, so he had to learn to fix his bikes with whatever was to hand. Now he can take the most hopeless rusty spoke-rattler and transform it into a gleaming masterpiece of mechanical engineering fit for the Tour de France!

Carlos' first "bike" was a horse. Since then, he's come a long way - at some point in his first year in London, he owned around 50 bikes! He has a degree in economics and is involved with community bike projects at 56a Infoshop and Camberwell Subterranea.

A fine selection of tales from the workshop floor, including thrilling refugee stories, inspirational volunteer chronicles – and the occasional shameless cry for help. View all news
