1. Who can apply?
  • People currently seeking asylum in the UK
  • People granted refugee status (or a positive decision on their asylum claim) in the last 2 years.
  • Children or dependents of the above groups.
2. Requirements
  • Valid Photo ID or Home Office documents (ideally BRP or ARC)

  1. People currently seeking asylum in the UK. If you are seeking asylum in the UK, you can apply for a bike. This includes individuals who have fled their home countries due to persecution, violence, or other hardships – and includes people whose claim may have been refused, are preparing a fresh claim, or in the process of an appeal or are appeal rights exhausted (ARE).
  2. People granted refugee status in the last 2 years. If you have been granted leave to remain in the UK within the past 2 years, you can apply for a bike. This means the UK government has granted a positive decision on your asylum claim. Statuses include:
    − Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS)
    − Calais leave
    − Community Sponsorship
    − Discretionary leave to remain
    − Humanitarian protection
    − Indefinite leave to remain
    − Limited leave to remain
    − Refugee Status
    − Section 67 leave
    − UASC leave
    − Ukraine Family Scheme
    − Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme (Homes for Ukraine)
  3. Children or dependents of the above groups. Applications can also be submitted on behalf of children or dependents of individuals currently seeking asylum in the UK or those who have been granted refugee status in the last 2 years.
