Hampton Methodist Church celebrates its 1000th bike donation!
Hampton Methodist church has been a drop off point for The Bike Project since 2018, collecting unwanted bikes for us in the local area. It is the network of drop off points run by amazing volunteers like Wendy at the Hampton Methodist Church that means our bike mechanics have a steady flow of bikes into the workshop.
We became a bike hub for The Bike Project in May 2018. Since then we have regularly collected bikes. Two years ago Richmond Council put out a press release abut The Bike Project and we had a Saturday drop off session which resulted in 56 bikes being donated. We have just celebrated collecting 1000 bikes. I made a cake for the occasion which was enjoyed by everyone at church. Wendy Salmon
