Our heartfelt condolences

We are deeply saddened to hear the news of Norman Franklin’s passing. Norman has been a dedicated supporter of The Bike Project since the very beginning in 2013. He was a passionate advocate for refugees and people seeking asylum as well as an avid cyclist.

Over the years Norman has been a consistent donor, helping us expand and deliver our services and programmes, and also volunteered as a Bike Buddy in his local area.

A statement from Jem Stein, founder of The Bike Project:

“Norman was a larger than life character who made an enormous contribution to the refugee sector. A keen cyclist well into his 90s, he played a big role in making The Bike Project what it is today. He will be sorely missed and my thoughts are with his sons, Tom, Sam, and Andrew”.

Our heartfelt condolences to Norman’s family and friends during this time.
