We’re thrilled to announce that your very own The Bike Project is the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 46 charity of the year!

RideLondon is the London Marathon for cyclists, with over 100,000 riders taking on closed street courses, including the 46-mile London to Surrey thigh-buster.

Last year, these incredible pedalling humans also raised over £11.5m for dozens of amazing charities.

So you can see why we’re excited!

RideLondon – so what?

The RideLondon 46 and 100 mile rides take place on Sunday 16 August and we’re in the market for fundraising cyclists – like you?

What RideLondon means for us is loads of awesome cyclists raising loads of awesome money so that we can give hundreds more awesome bikes to hundreds more awesome refugees.

What RideLondon means for you is getting in the best shape of your life and making a humungous difference to people like this:

I was hoping to study, improve my personal skills and be a part of British society. But the question always is HOW? Until I came to The Bike Project to pick up my bike… That was the beautiful moment that changed my life here in the UK!

Yep – this is one of those win-win-win situations.

Join Team Bike Project

Fundraise for us and we’ll guarantee your place on RideLondon for just £25 – or totally free if you can muster a few pals for your own mini peloton.

We’ve also got a bunch of VIP places on the prestigious RideLondon 100 mile ride for only £35. As a VIP you’ll get priority loading for a place at the front of the peloton as well as free breakfast and hospitality from Prudential.

All of our riders get 20 percent off at our bike shop and a place on our Team Bike Project training ride.

Our RideLondon 100 team already boasts nine refugees who first got their bikes from us. Some of them did the RideLondon 46 last year, but none have ever ridden a tonne before.

We’re all gagging for you to join us!

Join our celebs

Our Patron, actor David Morrissey (did you catch him in the brilliant Inside No. 9?), will be riding with you all on the RideLondon 46.

Yes! This could be your only chance to out-sprint a Hollywood star! (In a totally non-competitive way, of course…)

We’ve also got a team of non-cycling and cycling superstar celeb supporters.

First up is double gold medal winning Olympian Joanna Rowsell who has devised a kick-ass training plan to whip you all into shape.

And we’re splitting our sides to have comedian Jen Brister cheering us on – because laughter is scientifically proven to reduce the pain you feel around the 30-mile mark.

Burning legs? Join us!

There is no better way you could spend a random Sunday in August and, if you don’t believe us, here’s Ummar, one of our riders from last year:

Thanks for all your hard work in setting up the charity and supporting us with the race. The burning legs are nothing compared to the pain some of our beneficiaries have to deal with and go through but it’s great to know we’ve been able to help.
